Cardiff City midfielder Nia Jones is confident that her team can build on their promotion success and establish themselves in the National Division.
The South Wales side clinched a top two place in the Southern Division when beating Keynsham Town 2-0 and Nia told Women's Soccer Scene: "It's brilliant, we've worked hard for this all season. I only joined halfway through but we've strung some good performances together in that time.
"We've shown today that we can prove ourselves in this league and hopefully we can do the same next season as well.
"All the girls were nervous [before the game] but that is good. Keynsham are a great side but we didn't come here for the draw, we went for the win and the hard work paid off today.
"There are some great sides up there in the National Division such as Sunderland, Barnet and Watford and it's been really tight this season. We're just looking forward to playing new opposition and showing what we can do."
"It's great to get promotion and to play against better teams next year," added striker Zoe Atkins. "There are a lot of younger players coming through here and we should have a stronger team for the future."
Midfielder Danielle Broadhurst said: "It's a really good achievement. We dug in hard after we didn't start too well but we stuck together and started picking up points. We always knew there was a chance seeing how tight the division was - everyone has been beating each other."
Cardiff were relegated back to the Southern Division in 2008 following a two-year stay but Danielle insists they can make a bigger impression this time around. "We've got a lot of better players now and we're a stronger team," she said. "I think we'll do really well next season if we stick together."
